Global Leadership Now (GLN) offers interactive, hands-on programs that teach aspiring young leaders to turn positive thoughts into positive actions and be the best they can be!  

OUR MISSION

Global Leadership Now empowers young women to uncover the leader within.  By building self-confidence, creativity, self-awareness, and passion, they become a change maker for themselves and their community while inspiring others to do the same.

It all starts with our free summer camp for teen girls, Learning LEADERSHIP.

Providing the tools and knowledge for individuals to build their leadership skills and put them into practice. Our experiential learning and uniquely designed activities require active participation and ask young leaders to look deeper into themselves.

Embracing the diversity of experiences, thoughts, and backgrounds that all individuals bring to the table. We are a judgment-free zone and celebrate the qualities that make each of us unique. We welcome all young women ages 13-17 and are non-binary and female identifying inclusive.

Leaving lasting impacts on young leaders by expanding their mindset and teaching foundational skills that they will carry with them throughout their lifetime. We provide teens with a framework for continuous improvement in all aspects of their lives.

As a result of Learning LEADERSHIP, graduates have grown in self-confidence and leadership ability and have joined a lifetime network of like-minded peers and mentors who encourage them to apply what they’ve learned as they follow their passions. Graduates are raising the stakes and showcasing their newfound leadership skills in their homes, at their jobs, in their classrooms, on the athletic fields – will you be one of them?

The GLN Experience

GLN is a community designed for young women to thrive. We create an intentional space to foster confident, engaged, strong individuals. GLN’s FREE Summer Leadership Camp!

Every year, teenage girls are invited to attend this FREE transformational 3-Day Camp in Owego, NY. We welcome all young women ages 13-17 and are non-binary and female-identifying inclusive.

All leadership takes practice.

After completing our 3-Day Learning LEADERSHIP Camp, graduates are invited to participate in an online year-long program where they can further develop their leadership skills and start putting them into practice.

Our Story

It all began with a TED talk. The takeaway was that if we want women to succeed, we need to start investing in them. Penny K. Bartlow, a successful entrepreneur, author, and community champion, set out to do just that in 2013 with the establishment of Global Leadership Now (GLN).

GLN offers comprehensive leadership programs in Upstate NY that empower young women to be change-makers for themselves, their community, and their world. By combining in-person and virtual platforms to deliver a series of interactive workshops, self-reflection opportunities, empowerment activities, and powerful guest lectures, GLN encourages participants to uncover their motivation, sharpen their skills, grow their relationships, enhance their knowledge, and embody leadership.

A panel of local female leaders from a variety of backgrounds volunteer their expertise, experiences, and encouragement when delivering the curriculum and sharing their stories of continuous improvement and resiliency.
